Fabian Rössler works as a transplant and general surgeon at the University Hospital of Zürich (USZ) in Switzerland. He is originally from Northern Italy, finished medical school in Austria and thereon moved to Switzerland for surgical training. He has been working as a consultant surgeon for general and transplant surgery at the USZ for some years and was recently elected surgical leader of the kidney and pancreas transplant program in Zürich, the most active program for kidney transplantation in Switzerland. Besides that, he is active in living donor kidney transplantation and vascular access surgery. His current research interest focuses on outcome and complications after pancreas transplantation and benchmarking in surgery.
